Harden Celebrates Mums With Mother’s Day Street Party

Attendees are already looking forward to next year.
On Thursday May 8, the twin towns of Harden Murrumburrah celebrated mothers across the Hilltops with a Mother’s Day Street Party.
There was something for everyone with performances by locals, live music and street performers, along with the Demondrille RFS truck.
There were also plenty of gift ideas for Mum with community stalls as well as businesses offering Mother’s Day exclusives on the night.
32 local businesses and community groups were represented, with several selling out such as Trinity’s donuts and MPS’s butter chicken. One business also took a regular week’s venue on the day of the event.
HRDC CEO Melissa Pinney said, “It was wonderful to see so many people catching up and enjoying time together as a community, and shopping locally for Mother’s Day.”
“HRDC would like to thank all the local businesses and community groups that took part, and of course, Bendigo Bank who was the major sponsor of the Mother’s Day Street Party. We’ve received very positive feedback from the community and some great feedback from stallholders. We already have some great ideas on how we can make the event even bigger and better next year,” said Melissa.
