Page & Elliott August Medallists
Last Saturday saw only a modest field contest the August 2020 Monthly Medals, but this field did bring in Spring in a great way with fair skies, warm temperatures and a course as green as we have seen it for many a year.

Two Men came in with rounds under their handicap, one in each Grade and as such on a course that is fighting back, it is only fair they claimed the Monthly Medals.

Winner of the B Grade Medal, the day’s event brought to us by the very generous Brian Wales, the B Grade Scratch and also the lucky carton draw, was none other than our industrious Board Member Mr Ronald Page. Pagey had an 83 off the beater for a 67 nett (-4 on handicap) and was 4 clear in his division. Not only did Ron play great steady golf on the day, his winning of the lucky card draw meant it was his turn in the light as being kissed on the bum by a rainbow as he claims certain others are.

Winner of the A Grade Medal and the A Scratch, with a runner up trophy also from Brian Wales, was Peter Elliott with 78 off the stick for a 70 nett or 1 under his handicap. It is great to see Mr Elliott kicking butt and taking names on the golf course again, his form peaking before the Australian 2 Man Ambrose, an event he has won in past years. Balls went all the way back to +3 on handicap at 74 nett on a countback and were awarded to Jack Glover (71), Michael Baldry (73), David James (73) and Tam Kennedy (74).

This Weekend
This weekend coming is a well sponsored Tradies Day 3 Person Ambrose. This event will be sponsored by DA Busters Development Services, and Hilltops Certifying Services and looks to be already getting a big field booked in with the lure of over $1,200 in prizemoney up for grabs on this inaugural event.

If not already booked in, grab 2 friends and give 6386 2483 a call. You do not need to be a golfer, its about getting out mixing and having a laugh and blow off steam away from work. A handicap will be assigned to non golfers and prizes in several divisions, plus novelty events and even card draws at the end of the day could see you go home with something.

See you there.
