Parker Prevails Again
In fine form is the local smash repair businessman. He cleans up last week, then backs it up to clean up in the Tim Beveridge April Monthly Medal on Saturday. Make no doubt it’s Club stalwart Bernard Parker spoken of.

Bernie has cleaned up taking the day’s event, the B medal, the B Scratch and more importantly the Tin Mug that keeps on giving. Bernie shot 82 off the stick with a 68 net to win the event by 2 shots clear of the tie for 2nd between John Hawkins on a countback from Matt Peisley, both on 68 net, both of who have been thereabouts each week for quite some time now.

In the A Grade Medal, as indicated above, John Hawkins edged out Matt for the Medal and Kevin Hoppe took away the Ab Grade scratch with another great round of 74 off the stick. Kiev’s handicap must be getting lopped week in and week out lately.

Balls went to John Hawkins (68), Matt Peisley (68), Kevin Hoppe (69) and Brian Wales (69). The Bendigo Bank Hole in One nearly went off with Bernie only 1 metre from glory and taking the consolation ball.

Garth Grabs Midweek Goodies
Having struck already this year, this week’s winner has an uncanny knack of taking the win with the least handicap damage possible leaving him in the hunt again shortly after. Garth Webb has grabbed the lollies this week with a 25 net on a countback from Mike McPake - a mere 1 shot over the 12 hole course par of 24 Stableford points.

Garth loses only 1 shot and resumes next week on 16. Still too many...

In 3rd place outright after a par 24 point round was the ever present Grahame Taylor, whilst Peter Steinke and Herb Manwaring were close and hovering at 23 points.

Alexa Preston Scoops the Pool
The ladies had their April Medal as well last week. Alexa has played to her handicap with a 74 net to take the medal. As well, Alexa has taken that precious putting event which is under rotated by most but vital to a good round. 27 putts is most admirable in any round.

Pat Walker was runner up on the day and is also playing quite consistently at present.

Harden ladies had 3 represent over the recent rounds of the Young Vets Tournament. On the Monday 4ball, Pat and Marj came away with a ball in a strong field.

This Week
This week the Club has an all in Mixed Medley 4 Ball Best Ball Multiplier brought by DA Busters Development Assistance Services - the crew to see for all your help with matters before Council, or your Certifier. Grab a partner and come along for a fun and frustrating day out.

See you there.
