Men’s Championships Mk 2.0
Well, the golf course got a bit soggy underfoot last weekend. Bushfires, droughts, COVID and floods - Australia really does have it all this year. The Match Committee had to make a judgement call at 9am last Saturday and so it turned out to be the right one. With the COVID pool noodles doing their job, all that rain made them float and not stay down.

Some would have been happier with slow greens and floating pool noodles to hole out, but I am reliably informed that is not in the spirit of the game. Shame that. Saturday night saw even more rain and even the second was a flooded sheet of water on photos I was privy to amongst the Committee.

Whilst this weekend still has a hint of rain in the forecast (if that means anything) yet the recent couple of days of sunshine should see us in good stead to commence the Men’s Championships on Saturday.

So, gents it’s time to book in and corner your tee slot ready to play for the big prized singles events in the Club.

The four rounds will commence Saturday of this weekend and be played over the next 2 weekends.

Ladies, you will be competing in a Single Stableford this Saturday for a Club Trophy.

See you all on course. Only snow will stop us this time? – Alby
