Solah in Spring Stunning Stableford Victory

Well Golfers, the first seriously good Saturday in Spring and did it not turn it on. The weather was a balmy 25 degrees, flukey winds to cool us, shirt sleeves on and Golfers everywhere. Looking also at the scoring and it was on like Donkey Kong. We had the strongest field for months and lo and behold, a smoky sneaks through and grabs the chocolates.

Jacqui Solah has limped and skipped her gammy leg all the way up the leaderboard and claimed victory. Well done Mrs Solah, in a strong field and on a day where the top 8 players in the field all played to their handicap or better. Again, another feat that has not happened since Easter, such is the way the course and conditions have conspired against the pundits.

Jacqui has claimed the day on a countback with a stronger back 9 showing with a handsome score of 39 stableford points, or 3 shots better than her handicap. A great win for Jacqui who even backed it up with a raffle win later the same evening. She had it all going on last Saturday.

Balls went back to 37 stableford points led off by the two unlucky countback non winners in John Brownhill and Ben Brady (39 points), Chad Gilmour (38 points), Harry Sachs (38 points) and Kevin Hoppe (37 points).

Pepe’s Duck Run – Season 1 Final Results

Week 12 of the Duck Run saw Mal Hufton claim the plucked duck, Louise Hufton claim the unplucked duck and Catia Lenehan the tryers frozen duck.

So Winter Season of the Duck Run is over and the Season winner across the 12 weeks was Craig Filmer who was a sizeable way ahead of Mal Hufton. It is understood that there is some Pepe’s Duck paraphernalia on hand that Craig will receive for his season win.

Season 2 of the Duck Run (Spring/Summer) is set to start in October so keep an eye out for that. This Weekend
