Harden Kite Festival Committee calls for ideas

Written by: The Hilltops Phoenix

Kites in the sky at last year's Kite Festival.

The Harden Kite Festival Committee is calling for ideas for a non-traditional Festival after this year’s Kite Festival was cancelled in its traditional sense.

The Festival was due to be held on Saturday the 10th of October before it was cancelled in its traditional sense due to concerns surrounding community safety and uncertainty about rules and regulations due to the coronavirus pandemic. This would have been the Festival’s 15th year.

The Committee has created a survey to gather ideas on COVID 19 safe activities that could be held in place of this year’s Kite Festival, as well as ideas to improve future Kite Festivals.

The survey asks for suggestions for COVID 19 safe activities that can be held in 2020 and questions about the responder’s experience at previous Kite Festivals. There is also a section to leave your details if you would like to volunteer at future events.

The survey is only expected to take 5 minutes to complete and can be found at the web page https://hardenkitefestival.org/hkf_survey/
