Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club Hosts 25th Annual Competition

The Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club (HMCC) will host its 2023 exhibition/competition at the Old Courthouse, Murrumburrah this weekend.

Awards and prizes will be announced at the official opening tomorrow, Friday, September 15. Entry to the opening costs $5 and includes a light supper.

Cash prizes and certificates will be awarded to the winners of each of the eleven open categories and two junior categories. Trophies will be awarded to the winner of the Champion Print and the Most Successful Exhibitor in both the Open and Junior sections. The most successful exhibitor in the Open section will be awarded the Connie McFadyen perpetual trophy.

Visitors to the exhibition can participate in voting for the People’s Choice award and a trophy will be presented to the successful photographer who earns that accolade.

The exhibition will remain open for viewing all weekend between 9:30 and 3:30 pm daily for a $2 entry fee.

This annual event is made possible by the generosity of Hilltops Council and a number of local businesses, whose ongoing support is greatly appreciated by the Camera Club.

The Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club meets on the first Thursday of every month except for January at 7:30 pm at the Old Courthouse, Murrumburrah. Visitors and new members are always welcome to join in the monthly meetings.
