We have had some tough years, and there are those among us that have felt the hit harder than others.

The Sacred Syndicate SMC (a social motorcycle club) is a very community-minded group that will ride into the Hilltops with toys and donations for disadvantaged community members to help add some Christmas cheer.

Club President, Vince Behler said it was all about giving. “It’s a toy and donation run because it’s not only kids who are disadvantaged and not looking forward to a good Christmas,” Vince said.

“This will be our first one, and our expectations are realistic with hopes to increase attendance and support into the future.”

The group will deliver toys and donations to Hilltops Community Hub and Zac’s Place for distribution to community members who need them.

Vince and the crew will drop off toys and donations to Naomi and the team at Hilltops Community Hub and be at Anderson Park in Young for an 8am breakfast cooked up by the great team at Young RFS before travelling to the Hard Rock Gym in Harden around 10am.

In Harden, they will deliver more toys and donations to Glen and Ros Stewart who have been fundraising through Zac’s Place for a few years. Murringo RFS will man the barbecue lunch at Boorowa’s Driver Reviver site.

All monies raised at the barbecues will go to the local RFS units working the barbecues. Raffles will be held at each site, including a free raffle for children under the age of 18 years. They just need to be on-site to take the prize home if they win.

Any and all money raised at the raffles will be split evenly between Hilltops Community Hub and Zac’s Place. Anyone who would like to donate prior to the ride can contact Vince on 0431 579 012 or message their Facebook page to organise pickup.

People are also encouraged to join them on the day and take a gift or three along to add to the donations. The group has enclosed trailers to safely transport donated goods from town to town.

Sacred Syndicate SMC has several Chapters, including a Riverina Chapter that held a similar event recently and raised $2782.30 which was donated to Camp Quality.

Join Vince and the Syndicate team in a very worthy cause next weekend.
