Hilltops Bird Observers December 2025 Field Trip

Koorawatha Falls is the site for the Hilltops Bird Observers (HTBO) December Field Trip. Meet at 8.30am on December 7 at the Koorawatha Hotel in Koorawatha. Please bring binoculars (loan binoculars are available), a hat, water, sunscreen, morning tea, a chair and wear sturdy shoes. HTBO Ethical Birding Guidelines are to be followed during the walk part of the field trip. If you can, please let them know you will be attending so you are not left behind at the Hotel. The road into the Falls is 4WD only. 4WDs will ferry everyone to the starting point of the walk in the reserve from the Koorawatha Hotel. Family Bingo Day

For children of all ages with a parent or carer. Thursday the 22nd of January from 10.30am to 11.30 at the Young Library. The event is free but bookings are essential so please call the Hilltops Community Hub on 6382 6328 before midday on December 23rd to secure your spot.

Lambing Flat FAW 2025 Writing Competition Awards Presentation

Lambing Flat Young FAW will announce the prize-winners of their 2025 National Writing Competition on Sunday, December 7th at 10:30 am at the old Railway Platform in Anderson Park. This is part of the 75th Cherry Festival. As part of the presentation there will be readings of some of the award-winning works. The community and visitors to town are most welcome. The Hilltops Car and Bike Show

Hilltops Christmas Toy Run and Family Fun Day

Saturday the 13th of Dec from 8am to 2pm. The Sacred Syndicate Motorcycle Club will visit Boorowa and Harden on their annual Christmas Toy Run before arriving at Anderson Park for the Hilltops Community Hub Family Fun Day Event in Young. Face painting, jumping castle, games, petting zoo, check out the bikes and visit with a special visitor (hint: he wears a red suit!). All activities are free with BBQ lunch available for purchase.

Jugiong Community Christmas Bush Dance

Live music, free BBQ, face painting, jumping castle and Santa. Voted the best bush dance in the southern hemisphere. Jugiong Community Hall on Saturday the 6th of December from 4pm.

Harden Hospital UHA Members Christmas Meeting

Thursday 4th December, 11.30am at the Harden Country Club. Please bring a $10 gift to share. Community morning teas will resume from February.

Murringo Art Show 2026

As part of the Hilltops Art Trail, the Murringo Community Association invites you to immerse yourself in “Creating Our Future” at the Murringo Art Show. 14th March 2026 from 11am to 5pm at the Murringo Community Hall. $5 entry with wine and cheese included. The Show includes a special featured category “Reclaiming Our Future” with repurposed art.

Successful Futures: Return To Work Program

Compact is proud to offer a 5 week short course to empower young women aged 17-24 in preparing for or re-entering the workforce. The program includes 1 year personalised career support. Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade Recruiting

The Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade is looking to recruit new members so the brigade can continue to support their local community. Training and Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is able to be provided to all new members when they join their local brigade.
