Hilltops Christmas Toy/Donation Run This Weekend

The Sacred Syndicate SMC will be at Anderson Park Young for breakfast at 8 am on Saturday, December 9 for the launch of the 2023 Hilltops Christmas Toy/Donation Run.

Before that, though, they will be travelling around the area tomorrow collecting early donations from people who are unable to attend on the day.

Everyone is invited to join in the fun of the day, listen to the rumble of the motorcycles and other vehicles as they head into town and make their way from Young to Boorowa and Harden to collect donations of toys and cash.

All cash donations made on the day will be split between Hilltops Community Hub and Zac’s Place Inc.

Two raffles will be run at each of the drop-off sites, an adult one and a free kids lolly hamper raffle.

You must be in attendance to win.

Hardworking heroes from the Young Rural Fire Brigade will cook the barbecue breakfast and lunch, with eggs donated by LPC Trading.

All money raised during breakfast and lunch in Young and Boorowa will remain with the organisations doing the cooking.

Items donated toward the event will be distributed by Hilltops Community Hub and Zac’s Place Inc. to those less fortunate members of our community.

People are reminded not to wrap gifts so that organisers can make sure they are checked for age appropriateness.

A ute and trailer will be available on the day for the safety of riders to transport gifts between towns.

Events like these are an opportunity to help ensure that everyone gets to enjoy the magic of Christmas, regardless of their economic situation.
