The Hilltops Community Hub Easter Hunt was held in Boorowa for the first time last Thursday.

Usually run in Young, a special request was made to run the event in Boorowa. All pre-school aged children were invited to attend the free event with approximately 100 parents, grandparents and children joining the Hunt at the Boorowa Recreation Park. Kicking off the event were egg and spoon and sack races on the lawn while those who hadn’t bought their own hat along had the opportunity to make one at the Young Mobile Play pit stop for the parade.

Children were provided with an Easter bag with the Hunt beginning at 11am. In between all the running, squealing and excitement, over 800 hidden eggs/chocolate goodies were hunted for and found.

Following the Hunt, children were able to have their faces painted and enjoy using the playground equipment and mobile play spaces.

Joining in the fun were Mobile Play Group which is held in Boorowa on Thursdays at 10am and the BEE Centre who walked down to join in the hunt. Many families from Young made the trip over to Boorowa with Boorowa making everyone welcome.
