Hilltops Council distributes 2018/2019 Sponsorship and Financial Assistance Funds

Following round two of the 2018/19 Sponsorship and Financial Assistance Funds, Hilltops Council has presented a variety of community groups and sporting clubs from across the Hilltops region with funding.

Hilltops Council endorsed the recommendations for the distribution of funds of the Sponsorship/Financial Assistance Committee at the April 17 Council meeting.

Hilltops Mayor Brian Ingram thanks these groups for the tireless work they do within the Hilltops community. “Hilltops Council is committed to providing financial assistance to groups in the area to support and grow local events and activities,” he said.

“This not only assists the groups involved, it also helps ensure we maximise the economic and social benefits of such events in a way that benefits the wider community.”

A total of $30,359.51 has been allocated in this round of funding.

The funds have been distributed across the following organisations:
Young Combined Hockey Association - $3000.00
Young Combined Hockey Association - $617.00
Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council - $1550.00
Harden Murrumburrah Camera Club - $288.00
Boorowa Gun Club Inc - $4000.00
Young and District Poultry Club Inc - $250.00
Boorowa Wool Harvesting Association - $1000.00
Young Motorcycle Club - $4000.00
United Hospital Auxiliary Boorowa - $404.51
Joan’s Wish - $1000.00
Lambing Flat Branch of Fellowship of Australian Writers - $800.00
Harden Murrumburrah Gentle Exercise Groups - $600.00
Harden Murrumburrah Arts Council - Handmade in Harden - $2500.00
Young Meals on Wheels Inc - $1000.00
Local Health Advisory Committee - $1800.00
Hilltops Arts Inc - $2500.00
Young Hospital Auxiliary - $1600.00
Young Junior Cricket - $1250.00
Young Tennis Club - $2200.00

The Sponsorship and Financial Assistance policies are currently being reviewed by Hilltops Council, preceding the commencement of the 2019/2020 funding program. The 2019/2020 Programs will open for applications in late July 2019. Application forms for this funding are available at Council offices and on Council’s website www.hilltops.nsw.gov.au
