Young / Boorowa Community Transport is trialling a Hilltops Link Bus service, which will connect Young, Boorowa and Harden.

The service, which commenced on Thursday the 22nd of August, will operate on a fortnightly basis, running every second Thursday. It’s available to the aged, those who have a disability or are transport disadvantaged.

It provides a transport link between the three main towns, giving residents the opportunity to travel to attend appointments, access services, visit family and friends, social outings and shopping.

The bus will leave the Young Tourist Information Centre at 8am, travelling to Boorowa and picking up between 8.40am and 9am from within the township before arriving at the Harden Visitor Centre at 9.45am. The bus will return to Young at 10.15am. The afternoon return trip will commence at 2.15pm.

In Harden, transport for passengers from home to the Harden Visitor Centre to catch the bus is also available.

The cost for a return trip is $10, while a one way trip is $5.

To use the service, passengers need to register. Passengers from Young and Boorowa need to contact the Young office on 6382 1518 to book. Passengers from Harden need to contact Murrumburrah Harden Flexible Care on 6386 3561 to book.

The fortnightly service will be trialled until the end of the year. The service may continue into 2020 depending on the patronage.

This service does not replace the current fortnightly Boorowa to Young service which operates on a Friday. This additional service will mean Boorowa residents will have access to a bus service once a week, rather than fortnightly.
