Hilltops RUOK? Day

RUOK? It is a question that we’ve all been encouraged to ask as often as we can over the past 13 years because having a conversation could change a life.

A conversation could save a life.

The Hilltops Youth Action Group will host three events thanks to funding from the Department of Regional NSW to run mental health awareness events.

Hilltops Council’s Youth Engagement & Inclusion Officer, Georgia Thomaidis said they had guest speakers to speak about mental health in the Hilltops.

“Mayor Margaret Roles and our RUOK? Day Ambassador, Seryn Adams will be at the Young event,” Ms Thomaidis said.

“Our local gyms will be providing a mini workout. We have a free sausage sizzle and care packs for young people to take home on the day.”

Adults can enjoy a snag as well.

All three events will take place straight after school, from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm, as follows:

• Harden - Hard Rock Gym on Tuesday, September 6;
• Boorowa - Rotunda at the Park on Wednesday, September 7; and
• Young - Carrington Park on Thursday, September 8.
