Hilltops Council has partnered with Boorowa Business Chamber and Harden Regional Development Corporation to put on a trio of Mothers Day street parties.

  • Harden Mother’s Day Street Party, Thursday, May 11 from 3:30 pm to 6 pm;
  • Boorowa Mother’s Day Street Party, Friday, May 12 from 3:30 pm to 6 pm; and
  • Young Mother’s Day Street Party, Saturday, May 13 from 9 am to 12 noon.

Now the aim of these street parties is not only to celebrate our mothers, but to help revitalise the local economy.

Hilltops Council received funding from the NSW Government through the Reconnecting Regional NSW - Community Events Program which is aimed at promoting economic and social recovery across regional NSW Local Government Areas (LGAs).

The funding Council received will be used to engage a wide range of entertainment for each of the Street Parties ensuring fun and vibrant events that everyone can enjoy.

The parties will help reinvigorate and activate the Hilltops region’s economy, promoting ‘support local, buy local’ for Mother’s Day and boosting foot traffic around our towns and local businesses in a fun, unique way.

There will be performances by local musicians like Luke Jewitt and Hovert Gonzales and dancing performances from local schools, so the events will also help support our local entertainment and hospitality sectors.

Interactive entertainment will be found at each event, including a bubble artist, unicyclist and juggling artist, games and face painting and the captivating, wholesome, penetrating explosion of sound and rhythm that is DidgEra.

Many local businesses are participating in the event and hosting their own special Mother’s Day promotions, entertainment or dining experiences.

These parties are a great opportunity to support our local businesses and enjoy our wonderful streetscapes with family and friends.
