The Sacred Syndicate Social Motorcycle Club (SMC) raised $2096.35 as they rumbled through Young, Harden and Boorowa last weekend for their annual Christmas toy and donation drive.

The Sacred Syndicate SMC hosted another hugely successful Christmas Toy and Donation run, ensuring that some of the less fortunate in our community can celebrate a little easier this festive season.

Just the rumble of the motorcycles as they pull through town en masse is enough to elevate the Christmas spirit.

The anticipation and excitement built up by the SMC in the lead-up to the actual event goes a long way to encouraging people to give and come out to participate on the day.

As the community-conscious bikers rode through the Hilltops countryside, visiting Young, Boorowa and Harden and collecting donations of toys and money, they managed to raise $2096.35.

Not bad for one day.

Toys and monetary donations were delivered to Hilltops Community Hub and Zac’s Place for final distribution to community members who needed them. Monies raised at each stop from raffles were left with the Rural Fire Services cooking the mouth-watering barbecue meals.

The reason the Social Motorcycle Club chose a toy and donation run was because they understood that it wasn’t only children who were disadvantaged and not looking forward to a good Christmas.

The riders thanked their sponsors for the day, LPC Trading and J&P Langfield Trading Co.

They have already chosen the date for next year’s run - December 14, 2024 - for which they aim to be back bigger and better.
