HRDC Offering Businesses Workplace Wellbeing Program

The Harden Regional Development Corporation (HRDC) is encouraging businesses in the Harden Murrumburrah community to take part in an Australian first innovation.

The Workplace Wellbeing Program aims to improve individual wellbeing, increase engagement with physical and mental health care and increase levels of engagement at work.

The program includes a 15-minute introduction to the principles of wellbeing, access to discounted membership and services to a local gym and delivery of an evidence based mental and physical health screening program, Workplace Tune Up (WTU). WTU provides a report to each participant with results and telephone support as required for 12 months based on their own health data.

Chief Operating Officer (COO) of HRDC Tony Holland says of completing the program, “What do you think about spending 1 hour to help your staff be healthier, happier and more productive and it’s free? Evidence shows staff who are happier at work are more productive and stay employed longer, that’s what we all want, right?”

The program is available at your workplace at a time that fits with you and will take no more than 60 minutes to deliver.

About 45 people have completed the program so far, including early adopters the boys from Coopers Choice Cut Butchery.

The program is delivered at no cost to the participants.
