Local business The Ohana Collection held their grand reopening recently, after finding a home in Murrumburrah with the Harden Murrumburrah Regional Development Corporation (HRDC).

The shop they were leasing was damaged during the hailstorm in February, leaving The Ohana Collection in need of a new location.

HRDC wanted to provide support to local businesses and community groups displaced by the storm, so when considering their new office space, they submitted a request to Hilltops Council.

Hilltops Council agreed to the request so The Ohana Collection relocated, along with HRDC, to 314 Albury Street, Murrumburrah.

HRDC’s CEO, Melissa Pinney said, “With no shopfronts currently available on Neill Street, we are pleased to offer support to The Ohana Collection, so it continues to flourish in the twin towns of Harden-Murrumburrah.”

The Ohana Collection is a local business run by the Doolan family, with mother and daughter duo Julie and Liv Doolan the faces of the shop.

They offer floristry as well as a range of indoor plants and giftware.

Julie said, “The grand opening of our new location was a great success and it was lovely to share a glass of Barwang bubbles with our valued customers.”

“We are loving the new space and the amount of travellers we have calling in each day in addition to our local customers has been a great bonus.”

Floral orders can be placed through their website at www.theohanacollection.com.au or call into the store where you can also browse their range of giftware.

HRDC will also be establishing a meeting space that will be free of charge for community groups and available for a nominal fee to local businesses and startups.
