Children stock up on hidden chocolate contraband courtesy of the Easter Bunny at St John’s Kindness Garden on Wednesday, March 27.

Boorowa children went searching for Easter eggs at the St John’s Kindness Garden last Wednesday from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

The Easter Bunny had left a delicious selection of chocolate eggs in and around the garden beds for the children to find.

When the Easter Bunny made a personal appearance, however, there was some contention as to the authenticity of the chocolate toting cottontail. Some youngsters were pretty certain the friendly visitor was an imposter.

They had no complaints about the sweet treats, however, and their adults enjoyed a chat and a cuppa while they enjoyed their found treasures.

St John’s Anglican Church held a traditional Good Friday service at 9:30 am to reflect on the sacrificial death of Christ. It was followed by an Easter Sunday service in celebration of the Risen Saviour who gave his life freely that we might live with him eternally.
