Jane Reid – The Gathered Green

After experiencing a health crisis, Jane discovered the importance of chemical free, nutrient dense food and launched The Gathered Green approximately five years ago. The business delivers certified organic fruit and veggie boxes, grass fed meat boxes, pastured eggs and traditional sourdough direct to doors in Young. The Gathered Green truck also embarks on a weekly run to Grenfell, Forbes, Parkes, Canowindra, Cowra, Cootamundra and Wagga.

Jane and her husband, Ben, live on a property at Crowther with their three beautiful children. Eighteen months ago, they commenced the exciting journey of transitioning their farm to a regenerative system. They maximise ground cover and soil health through a rotational grazing system, which promotes healthier livestock and surrounding ecosystems. In fact, they now supply their own grass fed chemical free lamb and beef boxes through the “Crowther Lane” brand. Juggling the demands of running a small business, a farm and family life is not without its challenges, but Jane has developed a team of trusted people and implemented support structures to maintain balance. Through her business, Jane is excited to be playing an important role in improving the life of country people and the environment they live in.
