Spending her teenage years on her Grandfather’s property; ‘Quamby Park’, Young local Janelle Cooke wanted to share her positive experiences of life on a farm with the public, while also educating them on a range of different animals. Holding family significance, the name has given life to her 55-acre property at the Murringo Gap, now known as ‘Quamby Park Farm Stay and Petting Zoo’.

The farm offers a myriad of first-hand experiences, with abundance of hand-raised animals. Being established in 2004 as ‘Samittar Miniature Goat Stud’; the largest and oldest of its kind in NSW, the farm has expanded to also holding many miniature breeds of animals such as horses, donkeys, turkeys, cows, sheep, alpacas, unusual birds and many more.

Day visits, accommodation, and camping options are available for guests.

Finding the tasks of running the farm, growing the business, and having a family life to be ever-changing, yet exciting, Janelle works around set schedules. Her mornings begin with feeding the animals and milking the goats, midday is set aside for business development which includes marketing, animal sales and booking in visitors, then finishing the day by working on the farm while admiring the golden sunsets across the Dananbilla Ranges.
