Through an emotional yet inspiring narrative, the film sheds light on the challenges faced by farmers and their families—exploring themes of mental health, community support, and the unbreakable bond between people and the land they work on.
This is more than just a story—it’s a movement to bring awareness, spark important conversations, and celebrate the strength of rural communities.
Just A Farmer has already moved audiences across Australia, with attendees calling it “a must-watch for every rural community”.Following the screening of the movie, there will be a Q and A panel with scriptwriter and star Leila McDougall as well as special guests.
The event is free, but registering is essential for catering purposes as there will be a light meal.
The special screening will take place at the Boorowa ExServices Club on Wednesday the 16th of July.
The light meal begins at 5.30pm with the screening to commence at 6.30pm. The Q and A will begin at 8.45pm.
