Boorowa parents have long been interested in running a Kids Church or Sunday School where their kids could learn about their faith in an age-appropriate manner.

Answering the call, St John’s Anglican Church plans to commence Kids Church in Term 4. The simple program will consist of 30 minutes of Bible storytime, a colouring or craft activity, some songs and a short payer time where the children can say a prayer, if they wish.

St John’s Church organisers, Sorubi and Reverend Rick’s wife, Gwenda will run the program from the church hall.

The program will be open to children of parents who attend the main church service on a Sunday, particularly if there are any small emergencies to be dealt with. Popular therapy dog, Eliezer plans to attend Kids Church, too.

At 9:30 am, children will join their parents in church. During the service, they will move to the hall to attend the Kids Church program. Parents and children are invited to partake in morning tea in the church hall following the service.

Kids Church is free of charge. All school-aged children are invited, and Pre-K to Year 7 students would benefit from the activity.

St John’s is open to modifying the activities to incorporate older children who may be interested in attending. Interested high school students wishing to join the church are invited to speak with Sorubi, who can be contacted via the church’s Facebook page.
