In the Senior Pairs the final match was between Lorraine Bailes and Alex Fox (Boorowa Ex–Services) and Suzanne Gault and Rosemary Walter (Grenfell). This resulted in a win for Lorraine and Alex who also go to West Wyalong.

Last weekend two teams from Young – Kate and John Cooper and Sheila and Cliff Traynor entered in the State Mixed Pairs competition played in Temora. This resulted in a final between the West Wyalong team of Fiona Hartwig and Tony Parkes and Sheila and Cliff Traynor.

It was a very competitive game with the score remaining fairly even all the way. Going into the last end the score was 14 all. West Wyalong had the shot until Cliff’s bowl bumped the shot bowl to give their team a win by one shot. Sheila and Cliff now go to the State Finals in Dubbo next March.
