Handmade crafts, plants, art, jewellery, bric-a-brac and more. Lions BBQ, coffee cart and home baking. $20 per stall with your own insurance or $40 per stall insurance provided. 9am to 1pm on Saturday the 31st of January, 2026 at Anderson Park.

Family Bingo Day

For children of all ages with a parent or carer. Thursday the 22nd of January from 10.30am to 11.30am at the Young Library. The event is free but bookings are essential so please call the Hilltops Community Hub on 6382 6328 before midday on December 23rd to secure your spot.

Hilltops Christmas Toy Run and Family Fun Day

Saturday the 13th of Dec from 8am to 2pm. The Sacred Syndicate Motorcycle Club will visit Boorowa and Harden on their annual Christmas Toy Run before arriving at Anderson Park for the Hilltops Community Hub Family Fun Day Event in Young. Face painting, jumping castle, games, petting zoo, check out the bikes and visit with a special visitor (hint: he wears a red suit!). All activities are free with BBQ lunch available for purchase.

Murringo Art Show 2026

As part of the Hilltops Art Trail, the Murringo Community Association invites you to immerse yourself in “Creating Our Future” at the Murringo Art Show. 14th March 2026 from 11am to 5pm at the Murringo Community Hall. $5 entry with wine and cheese included. The Show includes a special featured category “Reclaiming Our Future” with repurposed art.

Successful Futures: Return To Work Program

Compact is proud to offer a 5 week short course to empower young women aged 17-24 in preparing for or re-entering the workforce. The program includes 1 year personalised career support. Register now at info@compact.org.au The program is on every Wednesday from the 19th of November to the 17th of December at the SA Hall, 42 Clarke Street, Young between 9am and 12pm. Course materials provided with morning tea included.

Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade Recruiting

The Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade is looking to recruit new members so the brigade can continue to support their local community. If you are interested in helping out your local community, visit https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/volunteer/join-the-nsw-rfs or contact the Harden Fire Control Centre on 02 6386 1700. Training and Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is able to be provided to all new members when they join their local brigade.

Harden CWA News

Harden CWA would like to thank everyone for again supporting their co-op shop and Springtime High Tea this year. They are taking a well-earned break from Monday 15 December and will be back again on the first Friday in February 2026 from 9am. Their last day for the year will be Friday the 19th of December but they will also be at the twilight Harden-Murrumburrah Markets on Sunday the 21st of December between 4pm and 8pm. See you there for your last-minute Christmas presents and hand crafted decorations! They will still be offering their famous Devonshire Teas in 2026, however due to rising costs they have had to make the decision to make a nominal charge of $2.00 – you’ll still get your fabulous scone served with fresh cream and jam, as well as a cup of tea or coffee.

Boorowa Community Christmas Concert In The Park

A magical evening under the stars. Enjoy local performances full of festive cheer. Bring the family, a picnic blanket and your favourite snacks. Santa Claus is coming and he’ll have gifts for the kids. There will also be the 2025 Community Bank Boorowa grants presentation. This Friday, the 12th of December from 6pm.

Milnes Meats ham voucher, Milnes meats $30 voucher, Big W $25 gift card, Boorowa Bakery 2 x $10 vouchers, Bunnings BBQ sauce and rubs, Handmade Santa donated by Margaret Kinlyside, ham bag, Christmas cake and other yummy treats. $2 each or 3 for $5. Drawn on the 18th December and winner will be notified by phone.

Twilight Christmas Markets Celebration

Santa’s play area for the kids, all your favourite market stalls for last-minute Christmas shopping, free mechanical bull, games with prizes and guess the lollies in the jar, dance and music, Christmas lights winners announced, win on the free chicken wheel, coffee, slushies & BBQ to keep you fuelled and a special visit from Santa himself. Sunday the 21st of December from 4 to 8pm at the Old Tennis Courts.
