Hilltops Mayor Brian Ingram said the initiative was all about encouraging more business spending to stay local. “Our region is full of amazing businesses, both large and small, but often people don’t know what’s out there. Through Localised, the business community has a new way of coming together to promote themselves, share business tips and advice, find goods and services, connect to business events and discover upcoming local opportunities.
We want to help break down barriers by providing a platform that connects businesses and helps to grow the local economy,” said Mr. Ingram.
The first local business to join the network was Harden Regional Development Corporation (HRDC). “Harden Regional Development Corporation was delighted to host the launch of Localised to forty local businesses, giving us the opportunity to highlight the benefits of this B2B platform,” shared HRDC Chief Operating Officer Tony Holland.
Hilltops Council is encouraging all organizations across the Hilltops region to join Localised. Both profit and not for profit businesses are able to register and network with local businesses across the region.
