Have you heard of MHERV? The Men’s Health Education Rural Van (MHERV) is a regional project made possible by fundraising, generous sponsorship and time freely given by hundreds of Rotary volunteers.
A custom-built caravan with a dedicated male Registered Nurse, MHERV travels NSW offering free health screenings to regional and rural men, who may find that they are too busy or too embarrassed to address health concerns.
Since MHERV began in 2017, over ten thousand men have received a health check, 5,871 were found to be in need of treatment, and 438 were in immediate danger of stroke or hearth attack.
MHERV will be in the Boorowa Courthouse carpark on Queen Street this Friday 8th and Saturday 9th of April 2022. Please avail yourself of this wonderful service.
