My Fair Lady final weekend

A scene from My Fair Lady.

Rave reviews from audience members from the two opening nights of Young Theatre Company’s production of Lerner and Loewe’s “My Fair Lady” followed by a sold-out matinee performance on Sunday made the director and cast extremely happy.

All the hard work over the past four months had paid off. Everyone has come away from the show with positive comments such as: the whole show has been very professional; the actors are outstanding; the sets are great and the costumes fabulous.

The Ascot scene, although relatively short, made a great impression on the audience. The whole show has come together beautifully and all involved are very proud.

It was great to witness the reaction of the 200 or more patrons at the matinee. They listened intently, laughed at the subtle jokes and clapped loudly at the end of each musical number.

The lovely voice of Julie O’Connor and the strong voices of Rob Provan, Phil Mitchell and Peter O’Connor suited admirably the roles they portrayed. The show runs for three more performances, Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Saturday 7th of September.
