New palliative care services booklet for Young

A new booklet on palliative care services has been released by the Palliative Care at Home Project Team for Young and surrounding areas.

The comprehensive booklet is for patients and carers and details palliative care services and information, contact details, medical information and terminology.

The committee comprised representatives of various health providers in town (Young District Medical Centre, Young Health Service, Young Oncology and Mercy Care Centre) as well as carer representatives. The booklet has been made possible by a grant from Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network and Young Services Club.

The booklet is free and will be made available across a variety of services and outlets in Young. Extra copies can be obtained by contacting Mercy Care Centre on 63828444.
