The new pool has a host of improvements for the whole community to enjoy.

The newly upgraded Jugiong Memorial Pool was officially opened recently with a host of improvements.

There was an upgrade to the main pool, refurbished kiosk and amenities, and new ancillary equipment to enhance the overall visitor experience.

The official opening took place on Friday the 14th of November with the Jugiong community attending to enjoy the new upgrades.

Hilltops Council delivered the upgrades with $1,044,850 in funding from the NSW Government’s Stronger Country Communities Fund Round Five.

Member for Cootamundra, Steph Cooke said the completion of the works is a great achievement for the whole community.

“It’s exciting to see this project complete just in time for summer,” Ms Cooke said. “The new and improved facilities will encourage residents and visitors to spend more time outdoors, keeping active and connected.”

Ms Cooke said the project is also a wonderful example of how government investment directly benefits regional communities.

“By engaging local contractors and sourcing materials locally wherever possible, this project supported jobs and businesses right here in the Hilltops area,” she said.

“It’s wonderful to see what can be achieved when we work together to create lasting spaces for families and future generations.”

The upgraded Jugiong Memorial Pool is set to welcome swimmers for another busy summer season, offering a modern, safe, and accessible space for everyone to enjoy.
