News From Young Hospital Auxiliary

The new Executive for Young Hospital Auxiliary.

Young Hospital Auxiliary held their monthly meeting as well as their Annual General Meeting last Thursday.

The Auxiliary’s regional representative, Liane Preinbergs travelled from Tumut to attend the meeting.

At the AGM, an election was held for a new Executive for this year.
The new Executive is:

President - Janice Ward
Vice President and Publicity Officer - Libby Plumley
Secretary - Gillian Wall
Assistant Secretary - Lyn Freudenstein
Treasurer - Gail Smith
Assistant Treasurer - Angela Clark
Patron - Nancy McGregor

Awards of Service were presented to long standing members Cathie Shannon for 25 years, Gail Smith and Sandra Latham for 15 years and Helen Parrott for ten years.

The Auxiliary also awarded a Certificate of Appreciation to the former proprietors of Poppa’s Fudge Factory Kevin and Vicki Powderly for their generous support of the Auxiliary over many years.

The Auxiliary’s next major event is the 2025 Open Gardens Day, held on Sunday November the 2nd.

A raffle is being held in the lead up to the day, with selling days outside Westpac Bank on Friday the 12th of September and the 10th of October.

Young Hospital Auxiliary meets on the first Thursday of the month at the Young Hospital. New members are always welcome.
