Free Legal Advice From Macarthur Legal Centre at the Hilltops Community Hub

Macarthur Legal Centre will be visiting the Hub on Wednesday November the 12th for their last visit in 2025. Macarthur Legal Centre is a government funded not-for-profit organisation that provides free legal advice, referrals and and assistance to people in Young and surrounds. Young Hospital Auxiliary Open Garden

Sunday the 2nd of November from 10am to 5pm. Admission to all gardens is $20. Pay at the Young Railway Station from 9.30am to 3.30pm. Cash or EFTPOS. Boorowa Country Education Foundation Grant Applications Close This Week

Applications for Country Education Foundation grants are now open and can be lodged at www.cef.org.au Young people between the ages of 16 and 25 who are going to embark on tertiary education and training can apply. Brought to you by Zac’s Place Community Centre at 171 Albury Street. Unleash your creativity with all materials included. $20 per ticket includes all materials and afternoon tea. Each ticket includes goods from the Chats and Treasures Op Shop. These goods will be used to make amazing creations using your imagination and creativity. Limited tickets available. Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade Recruiting

The Koorawatha Town Rural Fire Brigade is looking to recruit new members so the brigade can continue to support their local community. If you are interested in helping out your local community, visit https://www.rfs.nsw.gov.au/volunteer/join-the-nsw-rfs or contact the Harden Fire Control Centre on 02 6386 1700. Training and Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE) is able to be provided to all new members when they join their local brigade.

Women Over 50 Active Women Trial

Researchers at the University of Sydney are running a study to measure the impact of the Active Women over 50 program. This free program is designed for women aged 50+ to help increase their physical activity. The program involves telephone health coaching from a physiotherapist, private Facebook group (optional), a website resource and motivational SMS or email messages for 6 months. To be eligible, you need to be a woman aged 50+, living in NSW, healthy enough to take part in regular physical activity and have access to the internet.
