Young photographer Chontelle Perrin has created a photo challenge to connect the Hilltops community digitally while physical distance is causing separation in the current health situation.

Chontelle began the photo challenge on the 26th of March as a way to create happiness in these trying times and provide a community connection. “The idea for the photo challenge came to me last week while I was out droving cattle. I was trying to think of a simple way to spread some joy to the wider community while keeping my business page active and basically turn lemons into lemonade. It has really created a sense of togetherness and community while we all need to be apart,” said Chontelle.

The photo challenge is running over 10 days with a new theme each day for people to participate in. “Every day for 10 days I post a new subject, people then find or take a photo of their interpretation of the subject and share it on my page. It doesn’t matter how young or old you are or if the photo is taken with a phone or a DSLR,” Chontelle said.
