Playing conditions were cooler on Thursday and 16 players were on the green.

Two teams won their game by 18 shots and the vouchers went to Glen Seward and Jono Watson who won the count-back over Brian Christie and Denis Rosen.

The other two games were much closer contests with Allan Langford and Craig Watson winning by 3 shots and Brian McNair and Tony Ruhl having the same margin in their game.

There was a good turnout on Saturday afternoon with 26 players taking part.

The vouchers for the day went to Harold Anderson, Andrew Hutchison and Michael Webb with the very big margin of 17 shots.

Other winning teams and their margins were Glen Seward and David Quigley (14 shots), Mark Anderson and Les Fanning (12 shots), Tony Ruhl and Peter Watts (7 shots), Albert Carter and Vic Brown (6 shots) and Tony Oyston and Joe Bargwanna (1 shot).

The jackpot of $528 was not claimed and the amount should be in the $550 range this Saturday.

Players are reminded that entries for the Club Fours Championship close on Saturday 27th January with the first round games to be played on Saturday 3rd February.

The teams for the first games of the 2023-24 Open Gender Pennant season have been selected and are on display at the club. Players are asked to check the list and advise one of the selectors if they are unavailable for that round.

There is also a sheet on the notice board that allows players to indicate if there are particular days on which they know they will be unavailable to play Pennants.

Thanks to those members of the club who have assisted with the top–dressing of Green 1 and Green 3 over the past few weeks, your work is much appreciated.

Details of the next session of the Guy Pickering Charity Challenge are being finalised and should be available next week.
