The rain on Thursday and again on Friday night and Saturday morning prevented any normal club play this week.

The fine weather on Sunday provided a welcome change for the 48 players involved in Inter–Club Bowls that afternoon.

In Group 1 the Young side played against Harden. The results of the three games (Young scores first) were 11-22, 17–14 and 26–15 to give Young a win 54–51.

The Cootamundra Country Club side played Young in the Group 2/3 match. Young won two games 21–20 and 18–17 but lost the third game 11–30 to give Cootamundra a clear–cut overall score of 67–50.

Both matches were played in very good spirit and afterwards the players enjoyed some social time and refreshments at the Services Club.

In the other Group 1 game Boorowa Ex–Services were at home to Cootamundra Ex–Services.

Despite Boorowa winning two of the three rinks 21–15 and 19–17, one big 29–15 win by Cootamundra gave them an overall win 61–55.

Harden played Cootamundra Ex–Services at Harden in another Group 2/3 contest.

The results for the three games included a 21–all draw, a 23–all draw and a 22-12 win to Harden. This saw an overall 66–56 win to Harden.

The original draw for these games had play scheduled for Sunday 8th May but as this is Mother’s Day there will not be any play on that day.

All clubs will be notified of the new arrangements once they are finalised.
