The conditions for play on Thursday afternoon were very nice – warm with not too much wind. Michel Alavoine and Cliff Traynor had a day where nothing went wrong and they won their game by 24 shots. Other winners were Les Fanning, Terry Holmes and John Cooper (9 shots), Milan Brankovic and Stewart Taylor (8 shots), Darryle Miller and Tom Preston (7 shots) and Alan Gall, Albert Carter and Terry Mulligan (3 shots).

There were 18 players on Saturday afternoon. Albert Carter and Tom Preston took out the vouchers with their winning margin of 12 shots. The other winning teams were Wally Chater, Les Fanning and Dave Quigley – 7 shot margin, Harold Anderson and John Cooper – 4 shot margin and Brian Christie and Ian Schofield – 3 shot margin.

Twelve teams competed in the Open Nominated Pairs on Sunday afternoon. Play involved two games of ten ends.

There were five teams who won both games:
• Damien Miller and Margo Parker margin 24
• Albert Carter and Joe Bargwanna margin 17
• Terry Holmes and Vic Brown margin 17
• John Cooper and Kate Cooper margin 15
• Michael Webb and Tom Preston margin 12

The winners were Damien and Margo with Albert and Joe runners-up after a count back.

A number of players from the Club will be involved in the District Mixed Pairs on Saturday at Cootamundra Country Club.

There are three games of Club Fours set down for Sunday afternoon. The games with the skips names only are: R Boyd to play C Traynor, P Taylor to play P Watts and D Quigley to play T Preston.
