‘Practical tools to be prepared for a changing future’, the free community based workshop held in Young, is on today, Thursday the 21st of August.
Regional Development Australia - Southern NSW And ACT (RDASNA) is holding the event at Sporties Bowling Club from 5.30pm to 7pm tonight.
The event aims to empower the local community with practical tools, case studies and local insights to help business and community stakeholders explore practical ways we can strengthen our communities and prepare for a changing future.
At the session, you will have the chance to:
- Share your local insights and ideas
- Hear from regional leaders
- Explore practical tools to support future planning
- Connect with others who care about the future of our communities
Heidi Stratford from NSW Reconstruction Authority will be speaking to the Resilience Blueprint, developed through the Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO), which provides a framework for local planning, community engagement and preparedness.
Olivia West, CEO of RDA Southern NSW & ACT said, “We know that regional communities are managing big shifts, from workforce pressures and housing shortages to disaster recovery and climate adaptation.”
“This is a practical conversation about how we support our businesses, councils and community groups to prepare and adapt. Every part of this region has unique strengths, and we are here to help connect that local experience to broader regional opportunities.”
“This session is part of an ongoing series designed to empower communities with regionally relevant, action-focused tools.”
