The War Memorial Window in St John’s Anglican Church.

One minute out of one day from an entire year - that is what we set aside to remember those who put our lives and our freedoms ahead of their own, who gave their lives so that we could keep ours.

There will be a short service at Anderson Park commencing at 11 am sharp on Remembrance Day, Saturday, November 11 after which veterans will retire to the Young Services Club to catch up with each other.

The War Memorial Window in St Johns Anglican Church in Young will be rededicated on Sunday, November 12 commencing at 9 am.

This window was originally dedicated 101 years ago.

Some of the men listed on the window have been invited to attend.

The rededication will be followed by morning tea in the church hall. Prior to those two events, the RSL Subbranch/Auxiliary Young will be selling badges at Westpac Bank on Friday, November 10 from 9 am.

Make sure to purchase one of these badges.
