The Boorowa Rugby Club was blown away with the support for their Ladies’ Day fundraiser on 16th-17th July, with a total of $60,400 raised for Nathan Stapleton’s Spinal Injury Recovery Fund.

This amount is inclusive of generous donations of $8,000 from the Crookwell Dogs Rugby Club and $5,000 from the Forbes Rugby Club’s Bali Fund.

The Club also extended a huge thanks to all those that donated items to the charity auctions, and anyone that donated in any way over the weekend, whether it be purchasing an item in one of the auctions, attending the ladies’ lunch, donating money or buying raffle tickets.

It was through the generous support of the Hilltops community and beyond that the Club was able to achieve the incredible amount raised for Nathan.

Boorowa Rugby Club also extended its thanks to AuctionsPlus for its assistance, saying, “With the amount of items on offer and people from afar wanting to participate in our event we could not have done the day without your assistance and support. In particular we would like to thank Grace, Sam and Alex!” The Club also extended its thanks to Mike Ward and the Boorowa Hotel for hosting the live auction, and “taking good care of us as always.”

Gratitude was also extended to the ladies of the Boorowa Rugby Club, who organised the Ladies’ Luncheon, which was described as “an amazing success”.

While the official fundraiser is over, there are still ways in which you can donate to Nathan:

The Club currently has an option to donate to the fundraiser on its square site which can be found at: https://boorowa-rugby-union-club-inc.square.site/

You can also donate to Nathan’s GoFundMe page at: https://www.gofundme.com/f/nathan-stapletons-spinal-injury-recovery
