Rotary Club of Rockdale’s generous donation to Boorowa

The Rotary Club of Rockdale City has gifted a generous donation of food and blankets to the Boorowa community.

President elect for the Rotary Club of Rockdale City Vinod Reddy, along with his wife and two friends visited the area on the 11th of June, 2020, bringing the donations to the Boorowa Community Op Shop. As the Boorowa Community Op Shop does not handle food, the food donation will go to St Vincent De Paul and the Food Bank in Young, where it will be distributed to those who need it most.

Reading about the Boorowa Club’s Op Shop venture in the publication, ‘Rotary Down Under’, Vinod thought of the Boorowa community when he was given the supplies by QANTAS.

The Rotary Club of Rockdale City has also made a generous donation to Fiji, following the devastation of a recent cyclone.

Vinod is the current Chairperson of the ‘There Is Hope’ blanket program and has been invited to return to Boorowa in the future and attend a Boorowa Rotary Club meeting and to experience all Boorowa has to offer.
