Shave For Shelter Fundraiser For YCAC

This week is Homelessness Awareness Week and one brave little boy is shaving his blonde locks off in a bid to raise money to support an incredible cause.

Lewis has been growing his hair for two years, but he is saying goodbye to it all to raise funds for the Young Crisis Accommodation Centre (YCAC).

YCAC is a local organisation supporting people in the region who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

All the money Lewis raises will go directly toward helping individuals and families with urgent accommodation needs, essential items, and any support required to move toward the stability and dignity of a safe home.

In Lewis’s own words, “It’s not fair that someone should have to sleep out in the cold.”
