Small Business Month Expos

Young and Boorowa Chambers of Commerce have received funding from the NSW Government to support Small Business Month 2022 activities this November.

This year’s theme is “Connecting your Business to the Right People”, so the Chambers are planning expo style events in Young and Boorowa where businesses can explain what their industry is all about and have informal conversations with prospective employees.

The events will be held Tuesday 8 th November in Boorowa and Wednesday 9 th November in Young with guest speakers also in attendance. All Hilltops businesses with an ABN are welcome to exhibit or attend these events. The events complement each other, and you are invited to attend in one or both locations.

Now they need help from businesses:

1. Have a look at the following challenges facing businesses today and let the contacts know what topics are of interest to you. This will enable them to find the best guest speaker to tailor the event to your needs.

• How to hire digitally, choosing the right platforms
• Making social media work for your business
• Leading your team
• Changing face of the workplace
• Branding & marketing
• Grow your business
• Upskilling your staff
• Should I take my business online
• Cyber security

2. Let them know if you’d like to showcase your business at one or both of the expos.

3. They also need your feedback on the best time to run these events:

Boorowa TBC (Guest Speaker and Networking)

• Option a: 7am – 8.30am
• Option b: 6.30pm – 8pm

Young Services Club (Guest Speaker, Business Expo and Networking)

• Option a: 2pm – 6.30pm
• Option b: 1pm- 3pm
