The second annual Stars of Young Dance For Cancer is on again in June.

Stars of Young is a fundraiser where local celebrities learn to dance and fundraise, culminating in performing at a gala event.

This year’s Stars are:
Jackie New – St George Branch manager
Aaron Moloney – Paramedic
Keith Duran – Young High School Principal
David Hamblin – Amcal Pharmacist
Stuart Norton – Real Estate Agent/Principal
Adrian Capra – Art of Espresso
Trudi Jayne Summerfield – Singer/Songwriter
Dick Cummins – Real Estate Agent
David Coombes – Real Estate Agent /Principal
Alison Foreman – Label A clothing
Kyle McGovern – Electrician
Dick Donges – Retained firefighter
James Shannon – Physiotherapist
Melissa Anderson – Jewelznthings

The Stars were given a fundraising target of $2000 each. Fundraising events have been taking place, with some still to go. Trudi Summerfield will be holding a music event at the Young Golf Club on June 2nd as well as selling raffle tickets at Donges IGA on June 5th. David Coombes and Dick Cummins will be holding an ‘Ugg Boots and Beanies Bowls Night’ on May 31st at the Young Bowling Club and have raffle tickets available from the Ray White office. Kyle McGovern is holding a raffle with tickets available from Kyle McGovern Electrical.

The first gala event scheduled for June 14 sold out straight away, so a second gala event was scheduled for June 13. Less than 100 tickets remain available. Tickets are $85 and include a 3 course meal and are available from the Young Services Club.
