Stars Of Young To Dance In June

9 local personalities will take to the stage for a good cause.

Stars of Young 2025 will see nine local personalities take to the stage and raise vital funds for Cancer Council NSW.

The line-up of Stars who will hit the dancefloor include: 

  • Chris Duff from Delta Ag

  • Emma Duffey from FTS Financial Planning

  • Nayah Freeman

  • Meg & Xavier for Mercy Care Centre

  • Corey McNair

  • Brooke Hurth-Gye from Hussy’s

  • Maria Zirkee from Regency Jewellers

  • Brian Davis from Juicy Lucy

  • Peter Cockburn from CBN Building

They will take to the stage at the Young Services Club on Friday the 20th and Saturday the 21st of June.

The stars are spending ten weeks learning their dance moves from expert dance teachers at Leanne Simms Academy of Dance, Here for The Pole and Christine Wishart Dance Studio before hitting the dancefloor for two spectacular nights.

Tickets are on sale now and selling fast with half already being sold at last count.

They are available at stars.cancercouncil.com.au Stars have begun their fundraising efforts, hosting events in the lead up to the main event.

Cancer Council’s Community Fundraising Co-Ordinator Meagan Vearing said, “Knowing that every dollar we raise helps fund life-saving work and provide essential support services drives me to give my all to this event.”

“It’s also about connection. Stars of Young is more than just a fundraiser—it’s a celebration of the community’s spirit, generosity, and determination to make a difference.”

In its fourth year, Stars of Young has to date raised over $250,000 for Cancer Council NSW.

Funds raised provide cancer patients and their families in the region with cancer support and information services such as accommodation at Lilier Lodge, transport to treatment, 13 11 20 support line, cancer prevention programs, local advocacy, cancer research and offer access to free financial, legal and emotional support.
