The organisers at St John’s Kindness Garden will enjoy a small break through the school holidays, but they will return re-energised the first Wednesday back in Term 3.

Some of the children who attend the St John’s Kindness Garden have expressed an interest in performing a nativity play for Christmas this year.

Organisers are currently seeking expressions of interest from the community to make the children’s dream come true. Many hands make light work, so the more helpers the better.

Potentially, the Kindness Garden is looking to incorporate a genuine Boorowa sheep in the play.

They will also need to construct a nativity set, create costumes, general organising of the play, actors, artists, adults for supervision, musicians, dancers, animal handlers and a food team.

What is a Christmas celebration without carols? The plan is to incorporate Christmas carols, a few special musical items and a delicious barbecue.

An event like this can’t happen without people willing to lend a helping hand, so if you can use a hammer, hum a tune or handle a cooking utensil then the Kindness Garden orgnisers are looking for you.

The event would involve regular rehearsals in the leadup and a performance night in December. In the meantime, a number of social gatherings where people can draw together and try something new.

The aim for the event is to bring the town together and share joy and kindness with everyone. Contact the Boorowa Kindness Garden on Facebook if you think you could lend a helping hand.
