The Walk to D’feet Motor Neurone Disease (MND) will be held in Young this Sunday, the 20th of October.

The team ‘David’s Warriors’ will be participating in the walk. Katrina Bannister from the team said, “Our team ‘David’s Warriors’ will be participating in this year’s Walk to D’feet MND. This is the first year that this event has been to Young and is sure to be a great family fun day.”

The walk will start at Arboretum Park at 10am walking along the Burrangong footpath and is 5km in length. The aim of the walk is to raise awareness about motor neurone disease and much needed funds for those living with the disease.

Online registration has been extended until 10am, Friday the 18th. Online prices are $25 for adults, $10 for children and $6 for dogs. Registrations are taken on the day, with on the day prices $35 for adults and $15 for children.

Following the walk, there will be a number of stalls to browse. The Young Lions Club will have a barbeque and cold drinks, along with That Coffee by Jaclyn, Clicky Cookies and an ice cream van. There will also be jams and chutneys, hair accessories and jewellery, candles and face painting for the kids.

“If you have nothing planned for this Sunday and are looking for a fun, family friendly event to get involved in, this is for you, we hope to see as many people there as possible to support this cause that so desperately needs it,” said Katrina.
