Wombat Swap Meet and Show’ n’ Shine

On Saturday the 7th of June at Wagenbah Oval with gates opening at 7am and the car show beginning at 9am. Car show categories: Best Car, Best Bike, Best Truck, Most Original, Best Restored, People’s Choice. $5 entry per person with all proceeds going to local charities and projects. Canteen available all day. Site fees $35 with no insurance required and free camping available Friday night for stallholders. Bunyip Preschool Community Cookbook

Bunyip Preschool is excited to announce the publication of a community cookbook to help raise funds for the centre and the 2025 Billabong graduation. The Bunyip community as well as the wider Harden Murrumburrah region are invited to contribute recipes.

Share your family recipes and be a part of something special! To submit your recipe, visit www.publishedauthors.com.au and select Bunyip Preschool and Long Day Care. Use the easy online template to upload your recipe. Submissions opened on Friday the 23rd of May and will close on Friday the 27th of June. Burrangong Gallery Exhibition ‘Fibre Textile & Paint’

Special guest artists Judy McAlister and Sue Dunn. Featuring works by Young Society of Artists members. Judy and Sue will showcase their woven works made from natural fibres. YSA Inc members will present works from their first art challenge for 2025, using fibre, textile, and paint. Fibre arts encompass a diverse range of creative expressions that utilize both natural and synthetic fibres to produce unique works of art.

Open daily from Saturday the 24th of May to Friday the 27th of June at the Young Visitor Information Centre.

8 stalls full of materials and projects and offers of advice to assist your choices and the most beautiful quilts on display for you to enjoy. An amazing quilt is being raffled throughout the weekend. Raffles, lucky spot prize, viewers choice. Enter your quilts to win great prizes. Pete with the Dancin’ Feet’s Golf Day Stars of Young Cancer Council Fundraising Event

Sunday the 8th of June at the Young Golf Club. 11am shotgun start. 4 person Ambrose. Entry $50 per person, pay at the Golf Club Pro Shop. Call 6382 1543 to book your spot. Entry includes BBQ lunch. Prizes include nearest the pin, longest drive and winners on the day.

There will also be an ‘Honour Board’ for each golf hole, with the names and/or photos of loved ones who have been affected by cancer. If you would like to add a loved one’s name to one of the honour boards, please make a donation via Pete’s fundraising page (minimum $20 donation) and email admin@cbnbuilding.com.au with the details.

Hilltops Council Access Committee

Hilltops Council would like to invite members of the community to nominate for the Hilltops Access Committee. The purpose of the Committee is to:

  • provide community representation, advice and input to Council on the views, needs and interests of people with disability, their families and carers in the Hilltops Local Government Area (LGA)
  • the development, implementation and review of Council’s Disability Inclusion Action Plan
  • Assist Council to consult and respond to access issues that impact on communities across the Hilltops LGA
