Writers Group Prepares To Launch Annual Writing Competition

Lambing Flat Young FAW Writers Group is once again gearing up for the launch of its annual Writing Competition in what will be its 41st year.

To provide an opportunity to encourage storytelling and writing skills at every age is at the heart of the group’s motivation and it wouldn’t be possible without the generous financial support of the Young Services Club and the South West Slopes Credit Union.

The Writers Group’s Vice President, Jennifer Haynes and Treasurer, Joan Dwyer were on hand to accept cheques from Jess O’Shea of the Young Services Club who is providing sponsorship for the Secondary Students Short Story and Poetry competition and from Tahlia Johnson of the South West Slopes Credit Union who is sponsoring the Primary Students Short Story and Poetry competition.

Lambing Flat Writers Group is very grateful for the ongoing support from both businesses.
