Young Black Dog Ride held a special presentation on Sunday, to present the incredible amount of money they raised to the chosen charities.

25 bikes gathered at the Young Railway Station for the presentation.

Young Black Dog Ride Co-Ordinator Tex Quigg was so proud of the efforts of everyone involved in raising the huge total.

“We got to present the amount of $6000 raised by Shave A Vet and Young Black Dog Ride to the Young Crisis Accommodation Centre Inc. (YCAC) and Hilltops

Community Hub along with a donation from FDC building of $1666 to each.”

“That was donated after I did a talk about the Young Black Dog Ride in Temora for FDC Ride To Give 2025.”

“Push bike riders rode from Dubbo to Leeton and I was invited as a guest speaker.”

“They donated $5000 which was split evenly between the three charities.”

Each charity was also given $100 raised from raffles in Cootamundra at the Mighty Maddy Scavenger Easter Hunt

For Brain Cancer by Young Black Dog Ride.

Thank you certificates were also presented to those who made the events possible.

“We presented certificates to a special family for stepping up to help every time we have events or rides on.”

“They step up as corner marshals and volunteering. Glen Sanderson, Rachel Sanderson, Zac Sanderson and Bethany Robertson, you guys are absolutely amazing.”

“Then we also got a chance to say a very special thank you and present a thank you certificate to Dale Morton and Tammy Kernaghan for what they did with Shave A Vet.”

“Was an amazing effort, we can’t thank you guys enough,” said Tex.

“Also a special thanks to Jenny Rolfe for Riverina - community-backed independent candidate for coming out and spending some time with us chatting over coffee.”

“Just want to thank each and every one, without you guys and our great sponsors and amazing community we couldn’t do what we do.”

Thanks also goes to Tex for all his hard work as the organiser of the Young Black Dog Ride, making the fantastic amount raised for the charities possible.
