The group is dwindling in numbers and possibly facing extinction if there are no new members attending the bi-monthly meetings.
Meetings are held in the ‘green room’ at Council 6 times a year and are designed to discuss and progress strategic approaches to domestic and family violence prevention and early intervention, streamline referral pathways, identify and discuss service responses and coordinate a range of domestic and family violence related activities at a local level. Some great initiatives have come directly from these meetings, including informational coasters (to all local clubs/pubs), domestic and family violence awareness events, street banners for Boorowa, Young and Harden and a domestic and family violence toolkit for victims and services. The next meeting is on Wednesday October the 16th at 9.30am at Council.
